It is to explore the possibilities of pooling common actions. To begin with, a census of knitters’ technical resources has been undertaken (machines, gauges, etc.) in order to create a database of know-how. And, beyond collaboration opportunities, knitting companies also share training and recruitment issues. Needs have been identified, starting with the positions of hosiery technician and operator and maintenance or garment technician. They are directly linked to the retirements expected in the coming years.
