Methodology ACT Fashion and Luxury: Launch of Public Consultation #843

2024/22/02

Already extended to include the specificities of fourteen industrial sectors, the ACT (Assessing low-Carbon Transition) initiative, which aims to be pioneering and leading in terms of the framework for holding companies accountable for climate issues, is launching a methodology for the fashion and luxury sectors.

Under the impetus of Paris Good Fashion and developed jointly with Ademe, Le Défi, and sectoral actors, the steering committee already brings together more than ten members (groups, brands, distributors, members of Paris Good Fashion) including the Alliance du Commerce, the Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion, the French Federation of Women’s Ready-to-Wear, the Knitwear Federation, along with the World Benchmarking Alliance, Climate Chance, and coordinated by Deloitte France.

To ensure the relevance of the ACT Fashion and Luxury methodology, it is subject to public consultation which will close on March 15 to allow as many people as possible, in France and internationally, to give their opinion and submit their comments.

Objective of the methodology: to accompany companies in the fashion and luxury sector in their transition efforts in a low-carbon world, by enabling the assessment of the credibility of their decarbonization strategy. ACT aims to be a real tool for measurement and comparison with sectoral actors.

Participation in the consultation is done online via ACT in order to receive invitations to webinars. The public consultation will be followed by an experimentation phase starting in March.
